Artistic Director: Tracy McCoy

Is a graduate of Wayne State University with a BFA in Theatre.   She’s been directing, performing, and producing theatre professionally for the past 20 years.   She’s also a member of SAG performing in film, television & radio.  Tracy is the co-founder of the Timestep Players National Touring Company of Chicago.  She spent 11 years as an Associate Director/Producer as well as Director of Marketing & PR, where she produced over 500 shows a year that toured more than 25 states throughout the country.  

In the Orlando area Tracy co-founded the Children’s Theatre of Florida, and was Executive Director for 5 years, managing in house productions, as well as touring shows to Libraries and schools across the state of Florida.  In 2004, Tracy started teaching theatre for Circle Christian School and helped initiate a complete sequential Theatre curriculum for grades K-12.   For the 2008-2009 season Tracy taught theatre classes & workshops at the North Carolina Theatre in Raleigh, NC. She also helped to create a Children’s Theatre program that continues every summer named Kids Theater Kamp.   Locally Tracy has worked with the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, Mark Two, Orlando REP, DeBary Children’s Theatre, Sands Theatre, and the Ocala Civic Theatre as a performer/director/teacher. Tracy also took on the role of Administrative Director for the Sands Theatre Center, focusing on the Athens Theatre Project, renovating and restoring the Historic Athens Theatre in DeLand, FL, as well as initiating new projects for their Children’s programming. 

Tracy is currently a High School Theatre teacher at Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Her favorite position remains holding the title of MOM to her two beautiful girls Jesse Linn and Jenna Lee.

Admin. Director: Kimberly Polk

Received her Bachelors in Art with Specialization in Graphic Design from the University of Central Florida.  Her love and passion for family, kids and performing arts has been with her since childhood.  Kim has been married to the love of her life, Sylvester Polk for 39 years. Together they form a great team. Sylvester is the audio master and she is the visual!! 

Kim has acted in several shows as well as produced productions. She is an artist, graphic designer, actress, administrator and producer, but her most proud accomplishment is/was raising her 4 sons and 1 awesome niece to be wonderful children of God AND friend and mentor to her 4 daughter-in-laws and 1 nephew-in-law AND now experiencing the bliss of 10 lil G-babes - Bell, Trey, Alex, Ava, Zoe, Sophia, Kimber, Elizabeth, Levi and Judah!!

In 2008 Tracy and Kim formed a partnership and started their awesome kids theatre kamps (Palm Beach and Orlando) and are most proud of their ventures! Working with Tracy, makes for an amazing team and a dynamic friendship!! She loves the summers and looks forward to “playing” with the kids and all the “drama” at kamp!! Kim feels tremendously blessed to have been given such an opportunity!!

As one mom said at the end of the summer, “There is something more going on here than just summer camp...something bigger!” ABSOLUTELY!!

Stage Manager: Sandi Johnson

Received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with minors in English, Music and Spanish from Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan. She earned her Master’s Degree in Math & Science Education from the University of Central Florida. She has been teaching elementary school for the past 30 years here in Florida and one year in Detroit, Michigan.

Theatre is her passion! She has been involved with KTK since 2013 and has absolutely loved each and every moment! She has also acted in several shows herself including Cabaret, Amahl and the Night Visitors, and several locally written plays and musicals. Each year she also enjoys singing with the Candlelight Choir at Disney. Her heart, though, is working with children’s theatre and choirs. She has directed children’s drama clubs and choirs for years at local elementary schools and churches as well as coached Odyssey of the Mind teams on to World competitions.

 She has been happily married to the love of her life, Carl, for 32 years. She has 2 grown children whom she adores, Wesley (28) and Kaia (25). She is currently teaching 4th Grade at Partin Elementary School in Oviedo, FL.
